About The Position

This position is for an Office Registered Nurse at the Geneva OBGYN office. The schedule is Monday-Friday, with shifts typically from 8 AM to 5 PM, though variations may occur based on lunch break duration. The primary work location is Geneva OBGYN, with the possibility of floating to other Thompson Ambulatory OBGYN offices, including Victor, Farmington, and Canandaigua. Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Currently licensed as a registered nurse in New York State.
Maintain current CPR training and certification.
Five years of recent nursing experience.
Successfully complete the Thompson Health System orientation program during the introductory period.

Responsibilities

Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in a primary care office setting.
Apply knowledge of growth and development principles over a life span.
Assess patient status, interpret information relative to age-specific needs, and provide necessary care according to departmental policies.
Show caring and concern for all patients.
Ensure accuracy and completeness in charting documentation.
Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing techniques.
Work independently while executing provider orders.
Assess patient condition within the scope of practice (triage).
Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with office staff and Practice Management.
Exhibit leadership skills by supporting practice and system goals, and coordinating clinical staffing and laboratory activities.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information regarding patients, staff, and the health system.
