About The Position
Saint Luke’s North Hospital–Barry Road is seeking a Full-Time OB Technologist for night shifts. This role involves assisting with surgical procedures within the Labor and Delivery area, providing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The OB Tech plays an integral role in the primary patient care team, performing both clinical and clerical functions.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Cert Surgical Tech - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assist.
Nice To Haves
- Surgical scrub tech experience preferred.
- Certified scrub tech (CST) candidates preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assists in delivery of care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention within the Labor and Delivery area.
- Assists with surgical procedures.
- Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Individualizes and modifies care according to the patient's needs.
- Collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.
- Assumes a multiskilled role performing clinical and clerical functions that serves as an integral member of the primary patient care team.
