Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• BLS Certification within 30 days and maintain current
• Current certification as a nursing assistant

Nice To Haves

• Certified Surgical Scrub Technician or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to assist and support the organization and function of the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP).
• Responsible for the preparation of and providing the surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments while maintaining sterile field during the case.
• Assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to both the mom and the newborn and assists in the maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Completes and processes birth certificates, and “Declaration of Paternity” forms as needed.
