About The Position

Demonstrates knowledge of the nursing process as a standard, incorporating elements of holistic family centered care through the collection, verification and organization of data about a patient’s health status, planning for care, implementation of the plan and evaluation. Adherence to St Peter’s Behavioral Standards.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years as an OB RN
  • Care of the laboring, antepartum, and postpartum (couplet) patient.
  • Ability to circulate for cesarean within six months of hire.
  • Graduate of professional school of nursing.
  • Current Montana License as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Requires NRP, ACLS and STABLE certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Basic Fetal Monitoring during orientation (6 months) and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring at one year.
  • Intermediate or advanced FM every 2 years thereafter.
  • Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers.
  • Possesses interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations.
  • Open to feedback and open to a changing environment, which requires flexibility in scheduling and department assignments.
