About The Position

The OB Nurse Manager is responsible for identifying nursing practice models that meet individualized patient needs through cooperation with physicians and the healthcare team. This role involves implementing cost-effective strategies for patient care, including the appropriate utilization of resources such as nursing personnel, supplies, and equipment. The manager will also focus on developing efficient and relevant automation for patient care needs, providing orientation, ongoing education, skills training, and leadership to nursing staff to enhance their capabilities. Additionally, the role aims to improve the work environment to attract and retain qualified nursing personnel, foster leadership and professional development, and reward individual contributions through performance improvement. A key aspect is establishing a nursing quality management system based on standards of care and practice, utilizing quality improvement principles, and integrating with the medical center’s overall plan.

Responsibilities

  • Identify nursing practice models based on a conceptual framework that supports meeting individualized patient needs through cooperation with physicians and the healthcare team.
  • Implement cost-effective means of meeting patient needs through appropriate utilization of resources (nursing personnel, supplies, equipment).
  • Develop automation that is efficient and relevant to nursing in meeting patient care needs.
  • Provide appropriate orientation, ongoing education, skills training, and leadership for nursing personnel.
