About The Position

As our OB/GYN Physician, you will join Dignity Health Medical Group – Bakersfield, a multispecialty group within Dignity Health Medical Foundation, in Bakersfield, California. You will play a pivotal role in building a brand-new, comprehensive OB/GYN practice from the ground up, addressing the growing need for women's healthcare in the community. You will collaborate with an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist, sharing call responsibilities and benefiting from strong mentorship to support your professional growth. Your practice will emphasize high-quality care over patient volume, and you will have access to crucial resources including Gynecologic Oncology and Perinatology services. Dedicated RN triage coverage during after-hours and weekends, alongside a dedicated marketing representative, will streamline operations and help build your patient panel efficiently. Robotic surgery experience is a plus for this role, as we build a modern and comprehensive service.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in OBGYN
  • Active or eligible license in the state of California
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
