The Obstetrician Gynecologist will provide excellent, evidence-based, efficient patient care services, as well as resident and student teaching, mentoring, and effective supervision. This role is a flexible role within the department of OB/GYN to help meet the clinical needs of the department, including outpatient, rural, and inpatient work. The position involves clinical supervision and teaching of Ob/Gyn residents, Family Practice residents, fellows, and students at Mission Hospitals in various settings including Labor and Delivery, Emergency Room, Antepartum, Postpartum, Operating room, and Post-operative care. The role also includes supervising advanced practice providers, consulting and collaborating with regional care providers for patient transport or high acuity situations, and providing backup and consultation for providers. As an Obstetric Hospitalist, the physician will provide collaboration and consultation. Training and didactics on general obstetric and gynecologic topics will be provided, along with teaching topics for the resident night float team. Evaluation of residents and learners will be conducted using myTIPreport, with appropriate face-to-face feedback provided in a professional and constructive manner.
