About The Position
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Oat Mill Laborer / Maintenance Worker to join our Valued Clients team at an oat milling facility in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual with a maintenance background who is committed to safety, reliability, and hands-on work in a production environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a labor, mill, production, or industrial environment.
- Maintenance background or strong mechanical aptitude is required.
- Forklift experience is important and ability to safely operate industrial equipment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for transportation to the worksite.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and working in an industrial environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in grain handling, milling, or agricultural processing facilities.
- Forklift certification or documented operating experience.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general labor duties within the oat milling facility including material handling and production support.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs on mill equipment and facility systems.
- Operate forklifts to move product, materials, and pallets safely within the facility.
- Support plant operations by maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Conduct basic equipment inspections and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Follow all safety procedures, site policies, and operational guidelines.
