About The Position

Responsible for the coordination and execution of the OASE program. Work with National OA staff and the Summit to deliver a program that promotes the values and traditions of the OA.

Requirements

Minimum age: 21+
Ability to pass Red Cross First Aid, Wilderness First Aid and CPR Certifications (training provided)
Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily
Ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record , including height/weight guidelines

Responsibilities

Train Foreman to deliver the OASE Programing
Coordinate the support of groups in the field with food, water, equipment, including the National Park Service
Communicate with scouts and parents prior to arrival
Observe and Coach staff throughout the season with the goal of improving performance
Perform written staff evaluations at the mid-season point and at the end of the season
Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
