About The Position

Responsible for the coordination and execution of the OASE program. Work with National OA staff and the Summit to deliver a program that promotes the values and traditions of the OA.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 21+
  • Ability to pass Red Cross First Aid, Wilderness First Aid and CPR Certifications (training provided)
  • Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
  • Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily
  • Ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
  • Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record , including height/weight guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Train Foreman to deliver the OASE Programing
  • Coordinate the support of groups in the field with food, water, equipment, including the National Park Service
  • Communicate with scouts and parents prior to arrival
  • Observe and Coach staff throughout the season with the goal of improving performance
  • Perform written staff evaluations at the mid-season point and at the end of the season
  • Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
  • Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
  • Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
