The Downtown Minneapolis district energy system consists of central plant facilities, thermal systems, and an extensive steam and chilled water distribution network serving commercial customers throughout the downtown area. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Engineer is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance and operations of plant equipment. This role is a hands-on position focused on maintenance of boilers, chillers, and auxiliary systems while supporting ongoing operational activities across the plant and distribution system. The O&M Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring continuous plant maintenance and operations, responding to system demands, and maintaining equipment in accordance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
