About The Position

We are a private, not-for-profit organization that coordinates public health grants for a 26-county region in central PA, seeking a Nutritionist to work in the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program in Cumberland County. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred or a degree in another health science field such as Public Health with a minor in Nutrition.
  • Must possess excellent customer-service and communication skills.
  • Local travel in both Cumberland and Perry County, and some evening and Saturday hours may be required.
  • Child Protection Clearances (formerly "Act 153 Clearances")
  • PA State Police Criminal Record Check (PATCH)
  • FBI Criminal Record Check, from fingerprinting
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance (PACA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide nutrition education to clients
  • Promote and support breastfeeding
  • Prescribe and tailor food packages
  • Refer clients to other health and social services
  • Maintain documentation of client care plans
