Nutritional Service Associate
About The Position
The Nutritional Service Associate will work 12-hour shifts during the weekday and be willing to work every other weekend from 6:30 AM to 7 PM within St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, GA. The aide may assist in preparation, service, and cleaning required for the patient tray line and the cafeteria food service. This role requires an understanding of proper food preparation according to recipes, a concern for cleanliness, adherence to routine work schedules, and following System and departmental operating procedures. The associate must be able to complete assigned tasks, exercise initiative, use sound judgment in daily work, and prioritize and correct problems as needed.
Requirements
- HS diploma is desirable but not required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or extended care facility is desirable but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation, service, and cleaning for the patient tray line and cafeteria food service.
- Prepare food according to given recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness.
- Observe routine work schedules.
- Follow System and departmental operating procedures.
- Carry through to completion assigned and planned tasks.
- Exercise initiative and sound judgment in performing daily and assigned work.
- Prioritize and correct problems as needed.
