Nutritional Service Associate
About The Position
The Nutritional Service Associate will work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend from 6:30 AM to 7 PM within St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, GA. This role involves assisting in the preparation, service, and cleaning required for the patient tray line and cafeteria food service. The associate must understand the importance of proper food preparation according to recipes, maintain cleanliness, adhere to work schedules, and follow operating procedures. The position requires the ability to complete assigned tasks, exercise initiative, use sound judgment, and prioritize and correct problems as needed.
Requirements
- HS diploma is desirable but not required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or extended care facility is desirable but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation, service, and cleaning for the patient tray line and cafeteria food service.
- Prepare food according to given recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness.
- Observe routine work schedules.
- Follow System and departmental operating procedures.
- Carry through to completion assigned and planned tasks.
- Exercise initiative and sound judgment in performing daily and assigned work.
- Prioritize and correct problems as needed.
