About The Position

SRI is seeking Nutritional Performance Specialists to support the Army National Guard Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System. The NPS will provide embedded performance-nutrition expertise to enhance Soldier physical and cognitive performance, recovery, body composition, and overall readiness. The position will develop and deliver evidence-based nutrition education and resources, provide individual and group performance-nutrition support, and mentor unit H2F personnel.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related field from an accredited program.
  • Current, unrestricted state license/certification as a Dietitian or Nutritionist.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant post-graduate experience as a Registered Dietitian with demonstrated emphasis on performance nutrition for athletes or tactical populations.
  • Must maintain all required professional credentials, licenses, and certifications throughout employment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain eligibility to operate POVs, rental vehicles, and Government fleet vehicles as required.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, based on Army National Guard training requirements.
  • Must be willing and able to travel within CONUS as required.
  • Must meet the Government’s minimum Tier 1 background-investigation requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Commission on Dietetic Registration credentialing is preferred.
  • Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) is highly desired.
  • Certain positions/locations may require an Interim Secret or Secret clearance as designated by the Government.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, adapt, and implement command-specific Performance Nutrition Program policies and educational curricula.
  • Develop evidence-based resources addressing fueling, hydration, nutrient timing, meal planning, body composition, and healthy eating.
  • Conduct individual and group performance-nutrition counseling.
  • Provide nutrition education and support to Soldiers enrolled in the Army Body Composition Program, when appropriate.
  • Develop resources supporting Soldiers during Battle Assemblies, MUTAs, and the “Other 28 Days.”
  • Integrate nutrition strategies with physical performance, injury recovery, cognitive function, and sleep optimization.
  • Mentor H2F Integrators in foundational performance-nutrition education.
  • Provide documented mentorship to designated H2F Integration Teams.
  • Develop and contribute to H2F onboarding curricula, resource libraries, implementation strategies, reports, mentorship packages, and other program deliverables.
  • Participate in HPT meetings, planning sessions, and working groups.
  • Collect and report accurate performance data.
  • Travel to supported Army National Guard locations and training events as required.
