About The Position

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a talented individual to join us as a Nutrition Technician. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for nutrition and excellent customer service skills, serving the patients we care for. This position is located at the main medical campus in Omaha, NE. The Nutrition Technician partners with physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff to provide the best Serious Medicine and Extraordinary Care in the region. Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Communication skills (written and verbal; individual and group interaction) required.
  • Organizational skills (ability to multi-task; attention to detail; time management) required.
  • Customer service skills required.
  • Problem solving skills required.
  • Math skills required.
  • Computer experience (Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; email; intranet/internet navigation) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Enrollment in or completion of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in nutrition and dietetics preferred.
  • Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nutrition care services for patients under the supervision of the Nutrition Therapist.
  • Manage the enteral tube feeding operation, including inventory, order processing, delivery, retrieval, and patient billing.
