About The Position
This Nutrition Technician will have mentoring opportunities to work directly with Nutrition Therapists to improve patient outcomes. This is a unique position to interact with patients and an interdisciplinary team at the highest acuity setting in Nebraska. Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Communication skills (written and verbal; individual and group interaction) required.
- Organizational skills (ability to multi-task; attention to detail; time management) required.
- Customer service skills required.
- Problem solving skills required.
- Math skills required.
- Computer experience (Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; email; intranet/internet navigation) required.
Nice To Haves
- Enrollment in or completion of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in nutrition and dietetics preferred.
- Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform nutrition care services for patients under the supervision of the Nutrition Therapist.
- Manage the enteral tube feeding operation, including inventory, order processing, delivery, retrieval and patient billing.
