About The Position

Syngenta Seeds is seeking an Enogen Nutrition Specialist to drive demand for Syngenta’s proprietary enhanced grain technology (Enogen Corn) within the livestock sector. This role acts as a bridge between technical nutritional science and commercial sales, ensuring end-user value for dairy and beef producers. The specialist will influence nutritionists and serve as a technical consultant for NK/Enogen Territory Sales Representatives in Ontario, Western Canada, and Northern US regions. The position supports a territory including Ontario, Western Canada, and Northern Wisconsin, with an optimal support location in the Guelph/London areas.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, and/or Agriculture related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in agribusiness and/or related livestock industry.
  • Deep understanding of the dairy and beef livestock markets, specifically regarding metabolic requirements and ration formulation.
  • Up to 30% travel with occasional overnight across the Ontario, Western Canada and Northern US regions.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • MSc in Animal Nutrition is strongly preferred.
  • Practical experience developing livestock rations and working directly with producers on-farm.
  • First-hand knowledge of farming operations and the intersection of crop output and livestock input.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse stakeholder group, from farm owners to PhD nutritionists and senior corporate leadership.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity to position Enogen corn as a market leader.

Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain enduring relationships within the dairy and beef livestock markets, focusing on key influencers, such as independent and corporate nutritionists.
  • Partner with NK/Enogen TSR’s to develop, communicate, and execute annual business plans with resellers to meet volume targets.
  • Identify the underlying business needs and strategies of dairy and beef producers to ensure Enogen technology provides maximum ROI.
  • Empower and coach the Syngenta seed sales team and resellers, translating complex nutritional data into a compelling value proposition for cattle producers.
  • Provide expert guidance to producers on integrating Enogen corn into rations to optimize feed efficiency and performance.
  • Lead and review local feeding trials to quantify and validate the benefits of the alpha-amalase enzyme trait in diverse livestock diets.
  • Represent Syngenta and the Enogen brand at major industry conferences, trade shows, and livestock associations.
  • Effectively communicate market need and resource requirements to senior management to support long-term Enogen growth.
