About The Position

The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a Part-Time Nutrition Services Worker I for Charles Peck Elementary School. This position is permanent and involves working 9 months a year, 205 days a year, 5 days a week. The daily schedule is 6 hours, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and inventory.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to work the specified hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a school nutrition program.
• Experience with large-scale food preparation.
• Food handler's permit or certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to students.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas.

• Assist with inventory and stock management.
