About The Position
The Nutrition Services Driver performs a variety of nutrition services activities including transporting food and equipment to and from facilities via the facility vehicle and assisting in the nutrition services department.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Food Handler Certificate required.
- Must be 25 years of age or older.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous transportation experience preferred.
- Previous food service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operates transportation vehicles in a safe manner and complies with all traffic laws.
- Maintains appearance of vehicle and promptly reports vehicle maintenance needs to supervisor/designee.
- Transports food and supplies to and from facilities.
- Records and submits all required food safety documentation and escalates non-compliance to supervisor or manager immediately.
- Restocks food and supply storage as assigned.
- Assists nutrition services aides as needed.
- Assists cooks as needed.
- Completes assigned cleaning tasks for vehicle and nutrition work areas.
- Communicates effectively regarding all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Performs daily and weekly vehicle inspections.
- Maintains current license.
- Organizes, plans, and manages time effectively to complete assignments.
- Meets position requirements and performs essential functions.
- Completes mandatory training and courses required by completion date.
- Reports questionable situations, concerns, complaints or harassment immediately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
