About The Position

This position is responsible for completing and maintaining all job performance requirements and standards as outlined in the Career Ladder Program and Position Time and Duties. The attendant will maintain all standards as required in the Disciplinary Points Section of the Career Ladder Program. They will perform established procedures in the preparation of equipment and food for the patient tray line, and serve on the patient tray assembly line in the assigned position according to the established schedule, time, and duties. The role also involves delivering and picking up patient tray carts on each floor according to established policies and procedures, and delivering late trays in a timely manner. The attendant will participate in breaking down the tray line and cleaning as outlined in time and duties, and collect, process, and dispose of trash from the patient tray line and dishroom. They will perform ware washing procedures for patient and cafe trays, and sort, sack, and return flatware, china, and trays to the proper location for the next meal. Additionally, the attendant will participate in educational programs and in-service meetings, and attend meetings as required. They will alert the supervisor of any issues with patients, equipment, or food, and monitor and document equipment temperatures according to established procedures, time, and duties. Finally, the attendant will assure patient safety by verifying the patient's name and room number on the menu and alert Nursing Services if the menu and name on the door do not correspond.

Requirements
