About The Position
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center is seeking a Nutrition Service Aide. This role requires availability for both AM and PM shifts, as well as weekend work, potentially consecutive weekends, as dictated by the SBVCC Culinary Department. The aide will assist residents in the dining room, prepare food according to prescribed resident diet specifications, deliver meal carts/trays, wash dishes, and assist with food tray assembly and waste removal.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food services/nutrition services.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a long-term care facility or hospital.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the dining room to support the residents as necessary.
- Prepares food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications.
- Deliver meal carts/trays to residents, wash pot and pans, assist in the preparation and the assembly of food trays and waste removal.
