About The Position
This is a full-time, benefited Nutrition Services Aide position with a starting rate of $24.00p/h. This appropriate candidate will need to be flexible as this position will work some morning shifts, some middle shifts as well as some afternoon/evening shifts. Working some weekends will also be required. This position does not have a set schedule. Approximately 80%25 of the time each is dishwashing. The Nutrition Services Aide II primary responsibility is to serve as a Nutrition Service Aide. This position assists in preparing therapeutic and modified diets for patients as well as preparing meals for employees, visitors and special functions. The Nutrition Services Aide II assists in maintaining inventory, serviceware, and sanitary conditions within the department. This position performs the responsibilities as a Cook and Nutrition Service Clerk, as needed within the Department. Job Code: 100248
Requirements
- Food handlers permit (if required by state or county regulations)
- Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Adheres to the company's Standards of Business Conduct.
- Maintains current licensure and/or certifications, if applicable.
- Meets established attendance standards.
- Adheres to hospital/department dress code including wearing ID badge.
Nice To Haves
- Training in food preparation for therapeutic diets, recent institutional cooking experience and special function cooking experience desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines preferred
