About The Position

A Nutrition Services Aide assists the cooks and other nutrition services department personnel in areas such as washing dishes, answering the room service phone line, delivering patient trays, food preparation, food storage, cleaning, stocking, and operating the cash register. The Nutrition Services Aide must always follow safe food handling practices. In addition, the employee must understand prescribed therapeutic and modified diets.

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe Certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent training
  • Up to one-year related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience in food service and commercial food preparation
  • Prior experience following prescribed diets
