About The Position

Aramark is recruiting a Nutrition Manager for a Long-Term Care facility located in Stayner, ON. The Nutrition Manager is responsible for directing, planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the food service department to ensure the nutritional needs of each resident are met within established budgets and existing legislative parameters. There is daily interaction with other department heads and employees, residents, families, and contractors. The Nutrition Manager will participate in and conduct a variety of managerial activities and duties to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Home, and to achieve and maintain a level of high-quality resident care. Requirements

  • Must be an active member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM)
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Food and Nutrition Management Program
  • A minimum of 2 years’ management experience including administration, and supervision in a Long-Term Care or Senior Living setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, management, the residents, and Client representatives

  • Alternative education is a Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Food and Nutrition

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Food Services department in conjunction with direct reports and coordinates food service activities to meet the nutritional needs of the residents in accordance with budgets and legislative parameters
  • Responsible to recruit, hire, train and manage staff
  • Conduct clinical assessments, manage Manade Defined Spend (MDS), etc.
  • Adopt Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order, and inventory trends
  • Educate teams on key levers to improve margins
  • Bring value through efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
  • Follow Operational Excellence fundamentals by maintaining food and labour initiatives
  • Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of P&L statements
  • Follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations relating to health, safety, wage and hour.
