About The Position

The College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is seeking a part-time clinical instructor for the Nutrition & Dietetics department to teach during the fall 2026 semester. The instructor will provide student-centered instruction in various nutritional health-related settings, including community, clinical, food service, and research. This role requires maintaining current knowledge and competencies in the teaching area, along with the necessary license and/or registration to practice.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to manage time and complete tasks by deadlines
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work collaboratively with fellow faculty members, program directors and students
• PhD in human nutrition or closely related field that must include 18 graduate credit hours in human nutrition/nutritional science or dietetics.
• RDN, CNS, Licensed Nutritionist OR 2 years of professional experience
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
• Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
• This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may vary from semester to semester.
• For Fall 2026, an instructor is needed to teach N&D 594, Research Methods in Nutrition, 3 credits.
• Assignments for future semesters may be offered depending on departmental need.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching, tutoring, grading, course development, and student learning assessment.
