About The Position

Nutrition Services provides nutritionally adequate and satisfying meals for both patients and customers. A safe and sanitary food service environment will be utilized according to standards of quality established by federal, state, and local agencies.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Close Vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
• Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
• Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
• Ability to hear calls
• Ability to hear instructions from physician/department staff/others

Nice To Haves

• High school or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, transporting, serving, returning, and cleaning all patient food trays.
• Pouring coffee, tea, juice and other beverages.
• Assisting staff with food preparation and area set up as needed.
• Making snacks, salads, and other cold items as needed.
• Properly storing utensils and supplies for patient and cafeteria areas.
• Cleaning areas of the kitchen, equipment, and floor of the kitchen as assigned.
• Putting away stock items and properly rotating, labeling, and dating items as required.
• Completing other tasks as assigned by lead or supervisor.
