About The Position

The Nutrition Associate is responsible for greeting newly admitted patients and for distributing room service menus. Ensures that all patients placed on modified diets have the opportunity to place a food order. Obtains patient food preferences, menu choices, and provides related follow-up. Delivers patient meal trays, nourishments/snacks, and floor stock supplies to patient care units. Responsible for ensuring that patients receive correct meals in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate
• Demonstrated competence in a health care setting for at least 6 months preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Effective customer service skills and successful completion of customer service training module
• Ability to perform detailed assignments
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to readily adapt to change in routine and work assignments
• Ability to relate to patients, families, and inter- and intra-departmental staff
• City of Prosper Food Handlers Card prior to employment
• Maintain current City of Prosper Food Handlers Card at all times during employment
• Maintain primary residence within the state of Texas
• Maintain all licenses and credentials required for your position throughout your employment

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with computers is preferred
