About The Position

This position is responsible for statewide development, implementation, and evaluation of the Older American’s Act (OAA) Nutrition Services and Health Promotion programs and the Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program. This position provides education, training, and assistance to contractors, Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and their service providers who implement the nutrition and health promotion programs to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. Additionally, this position is responsible for monitoring and analyzing program data for the annual Older Americans Act Performance System (OAAPS) report, while also planning and execution of the annual Governor’s Conference on Aging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health nutrition, nutrition or dietetics or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD)/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or registration eligible.
  • Licensed nutritionist in Montana or licensed eligible.
  • Two years of job related experience in dietetics.

Nice To Haves

  • Public health nutrition experience is preferred.
  • Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

  • Statewide development, implementation, and evaluation of the Older American’s Act (OAA) Nutrition Services and Health Promotion programs and the Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program.
  • Provide education, training, and assistance to contractors, Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and their service providers who implement the nutrition and health promotion programs to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze program data for the annual Older Americans Act Performance System (OAAPS) report.
  • Plan and execute the annual Governor’s Conference on Aging.
  • Mandatory reporter of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of individuals over the age of 60 and those with disabilities over the age of 18.
