About The Position
To be an active member of the Food & Nutrition team, to provide the best possible food service to patients, employees, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of high school with the ability to read, write and comprehend written and oral communication.
- Cash register/POS experience desirable.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a friendly, pleasant, and outgoing manner to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Answers the telephone promptly and identifies department and self.
- Assembles food items and stocks their station according to tally sheet and inventory needs.
- Portions food items according to daily menus, standard items, and portion control.
- Operates POS/cash register in an efficient manner and demonstrates an awareness of handling money correctly.
- Calculates total monies received and compiles daily register reports.
- Scrapes and washes all dishware according to department sanitation procedures.
- Transports food carts to and from designated areas on patient floors in a safe and timely manner.
- Collects all trash in the kitchen and cafeteria.
- Scrubs and sanitizes all pots and pans and places them in the designated area.
