Notes: Need strong Nutanix experience mandatory. 5 days per week on site and final interview on site. Must be local. MUST HAVE "Host Migration" experience. Take hosts off of existing esxi host and how to migrate off VMs and then put host back on.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE "Host Migration" experience. Take hosts off of existing esxi host and how to migrate off VMs and then put host back on.
- Strong Nutanix experience mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Information Technology) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Support.
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of Baselining, utilizing Industrial Defender
- Candidate must be knowledgeable of Darksite patching of Nutanix Hypervisor and components as well as other Hypervisors.
- Knowledge of NERC CIP compliance and how it effects best practices in Datacenters
Responsibilities
- Windows Server operating systems, Linux Operating Systems, users administration, file system, software, and services
- Understanding of servers and various storage RAID configuration
- Active Directory management, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup
- In-Depth Knowledge of Nutanix Hypervisor Migration best practices – Required
- In-Depth Knowledge of VMware Hypervisor Migration to Nutanix AHV Hypervisor
- Knowledge in Nutanix Cluster Deployment - required
- Fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting such as DHCP, DNS, Routing, Firewall
- Fundamental understanding of security principles, ACL, Encryption
- Scripting: PowerShell, bash, ksh or perl for automating routine tasks
- Experienced with monitoring system health and performance, able to provide statistics to identify bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts
- Disaster recovery planning and ability to perform backup and restore for systems, applications and data
- Patch and firmware installation and management
- Understanding of Baselining, utilizing Industrial Defender – preferred
