The Nursing Unit Secretary will serve as the central focus of communication for the Patient-Care Unit, coordinating the clerical functions of the Unit. This includes assisting with charting, admissions and discharges, maintaining organization within the Nurse's station to promote an orderly workflow, and receiving, sorting, and organizing all interdepartmental communications. The role also involves scheduling and coordinating special patient appointments with other departments as directed by Health Care Team Members, answering call bells and assisting as appropriate, handling a high volume of phone calls, and welcoming and assisting all visitors to the unit.
