About The Position

This is a Part-Time Tutor pool that assists students enrolled in the Nursing Program. Applications are considered throughout the academic year and reviewed based on departmental needs. If your application is selected for review, you will be contacted by phone or email for an interview. This position requires a flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include working days, evenings, and/or weekends. Official transcripts and/or certifications are required within 30 days of hire. Applicants with academic credentials from non-U.S. accredited institutions must have their coursework evaluated for U.S. equivalency by a NACES® affiliated company. Requirements

• At least 18 credit hours.
• Good academic standing.
• Overall GPA 3.0 in RNSG courses.
• Currently enrolled ADN student or graduate of an accredited ADN program.
• Mastery of courses being tutored.
• Capable of working with both faculty and students.
• Ability to be empathetic to students with difficulties.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to be well organized, task-oriented, and flexible.
• Working knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and the ability to use them responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Directly tutoring individuals in the Nursing Program by asking and answering questions and demonstrating examples relating to the subject.
• Answer academic questions, providing examples relating to the subject.
• Evaluate and recommend tutoring materials.
• Assist in clarifying nursing concepts.
• Other related duties as assigned.
