About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor - Care Link, PT position at Piedmont Fayette Hospital is a part-time role responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate patient flow and optimize service. The supervisor monitors bed availability, implements surge capacity measures, and supervises nursing staff, coordinating staffing on a shift-to-shift basis. This position also serves as the designated on-site hospital administrator after business hours, responsible for assessing requests for administrator-on-call contact and overseeing all hospital activities in the absence of Administration and department directors. The supervisor works with the Administrator on-call to activate the disaster plan and coordinate related activities. Key aspects include rounding, maintaining open communication with staff, and demonstrating a strong knowledge of nursing practice and leadership abilities.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a nursing program Required
  • 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
  • Demonstrated clinical competency Required
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree /Master’s degree in Nursing Preferred
  • ACLS Preferred
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Preferred
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Promoting and maintaining quality patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers.
  • Monitoring bed availability and implementing surge capacity measures as needed.
  • Supervision of the nursing staff and coordination of staffing on a shift-to-shift basis.
  • Is the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours.
  • Responsible for the assessment of all requests for administrator-on-call contact during his/her shift.
  • Responsible for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors.
  • Works under the direction of the Administrator on-call to determine the activation of the disaster plan and coordinates related activities.
  • Rounds and maintains open communication with all staff.
