About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor for Care Link at Piedmont Fayette Hospital is a part-time, day shift position responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients across the organization during their assigned shift. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating with Admissions and Bed Control to optimize patient flow and service. The supervisor monitors bed availability, implements surge capacity measures, and oversees nursing staff, coordinating staffing on a shift-to-shift basis. As the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours, the supervisor assesses requests for administrator-on-call contact and manages all hospital activities in the absence of Administration and/or department directors. They work under the direction of the Administrator on-call to activate the disaster plan and coordinate related activities, while also maintaining open communication with all staff through regular rounds. This position demands a strong understanding of nursing practice and exceptional leadership capabilities.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a nursing program
  • 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting
  • Demonstrated clinical competency
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree /Master’s degree in Nursing

  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation

Responsibilities

  • Promoting and maintaining quality patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers
  • Monitoring bed availability and implementing surge capacity measures as needed
  • Supervision of the nursing staff and coordination of staffing on a shift-to-shift basis
  • Is the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours
  • Responsible for the assessment of all requests for administrator-on-call contact during his/her shift
  • Responsible for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors
  • Works under the direction of the Administrator on-call to determine the activation of the disaster plan and coordinates related activities
  • Rounds and maintains open communication with all staff
