About The Position

Ensures that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients on assigned nursing units, in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures, and program plans of the hospital. Ensures patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education standards are followed. Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age, specific needs, and plans age specific treatment and care. Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Illinois licensure.
Minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
Demonstrated supervisory competence.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
Demonstrated clinical expertise and knowledge in assigned nursing units.
Work is of moderate demand.
Routine lifting requirements fewer than 25 pounds, occasional lifting requirements of medium to heavy demand.
Standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching required.
May be required to assist with and/or transport patients.
Works inside.
May be exposed to communicable diseases.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred.
PALS, ACLS, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation certificate may be required.
