Requirements
- New York State RN License.
- Bachelors' Degree in Nursing Required
- Minimum of 1+ years of RN Management/Supervisor experience.
- Must have at least 1 year RN experience in an acute inpatient setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage a team
- Effective communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Responsibilities
- Serve as a problem solver, planner, clinical and administrative resource, organizer, and liaison to the medical staff.
- Areas of responsibility include orientation, personnel management; rehabilitation nursing techniques, staffing, clinical nursing skills, nursing process, in-service and continuing education, staff competencies, information technology and systems, resource allocation/ utilization, and environment.
- Maintain clinical competence and plan patient care utilizing the nursing process, rehabilitation principles and standards, appropriate resources and the policies/procedures of Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital.
- The Clinical Nurse Supervisor spends 50% of the time in direct staff supervision and 50% of the time in administrative duties
