Nursing Supervisor Full-Time
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Nursing Supervisor. In this leadership role, you will provide operational and clinical oversight of hospital nursing services during assigned shifts, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while supporting nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams. The Nursing Supervisor serves as a key resource for clinical decision-making, staffing coordination, patient flow management, and problem resolution across the hospital. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
- Current and unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent acute care nursing experience required.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Excellent critical thinking and clinical judgment skills.
- Knowledge of hospital operations, staffing practices, patient safety principles, and regulatory standards.
- Ability to build positive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare technology platforms.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Previous Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager, or leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in a hospital setting with demonstrated clinical decision-making and leadership abilities preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of nursing operations during assigned shifts.
- Promote the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the hospital.
- Serve as a clinical and administrative resource to nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate staffing assignments and assist with workforce planning to ensure appropriate patient coverage.
- Support patient throughput, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Respond to clinical, operational, and staffing concerns and facilitate timely resolution.
- Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, and ancillary services to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and patient safety initiatives.
- Assist with emergency response situations and provide leadership during critical events.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
