About The Position

Beloit Health System is hiring a Nursing Supervisor for Nursing Administration at Beloit Memorial Hospital. The Nursing Supervisor provides supervision and direction to nursing teams and supports staffing, patient placement, triage, and coordination across the hospital. The role also supports nursing staff through education and assistance with medications and supplies.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable; BSN or above approved.
Wisconsin or multistate nursing licensure required; must request Wisconsin licensure within 30 days.
BLS certification required within three months of hire.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including providers, patients and their support system, and the community.
Ability to think critically and triage problems.
Ability to work independently and react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Telemetry training required within six months of hire.
Excellent communication and counseling technique.

Nice To Haves

Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision and direction to nursing teams.
Assist with staffing and assignments, placing patients in ordered units, and triaging patient needs and bed placement.
Triage phone calls from providers, other facilities, and families.
Assist with obtaining medications and supplies.
Respond to RRTs, MEAs, and alerts/codes.
Enter surgical cases in the EMR and call in on-call staff for OR, US, VL/Echo, and STEMI teams as needed.
Provide support and education to nursing staff.
