About The Position

Brookings Health System is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to join their team at The Neighborhoods at Brookview. This role involves completing assessments, care planning, and the MDS process for residents. The Nursing Supervisor will manage admission, discharge, and transfer paperwork, and participate in the planning, organizing, directing, and facilitating of clinical operations for their assigned household/neighborhood. They will work with the Nursing Director to ensure regulatory compliance, foster a person-centered culture, and promote learning. Collaboration with residents and families to achieve optimal care and providing excellent customer service are key aspects of this position. The role requires flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing work environment.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of South Dakota is required; must be in good standing through the state nursing registry.
Degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
Current CPR license required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in geriatric nursing is desirable.
2-5 years experience as a registered nurse in a skilled health care facility or retirement facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

Completes assessment care planning for the residents on the household/neighborhood, which will include the MDS process and care planning process.
Completes admission, discharge and transfer paperwork.
Participates in planning, organizing, directing, and facilitating the clinical operations for the household/neighborhood.
Works with the Nursing Director to ensure regulatory compliance, nurture a person-centered and resident-directed culture, strengthen the ability of the household to grow as a separate effective home and promote individual and team learning in the household.
Collaborates with residents and their families to achieve optimal care.
Provides excellent customer service at all times for the facility.
Maintains flexibility to meet a constantly changing work environment.
