About The Position

Birmingham Green, a person-centered care focus community located in Manassas, Virginia, has been providing high-quality and affordable care for 90 years. This role is responsible for the direct supervision of nursing care, assuring that residents receive the care identified to meet their healthcare needs, and ensuring that policies and procedures of the nursing department are followed by nursing staff. The Nursing Supervisor is also the person in charge of the entire facility in the absence of senior management staff.

Requirements

• Current unencumbered RN license
• CPR certification
• Five years experience in long-term care facility
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Knowledge and experience related to the physical, mental and emotional needs of the elderly
• Knowledge of the laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
• Knowledge of current nursing techniques, federal and state nursing home regulations, and experience in regulatory surveys, resident assessments and recertification
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills

Nice To Haves

• One year supervisory experience preferred
