About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Full-Time Nursing Supervisor – Registered Nurse (RN) for their inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Temple, TX. This facility is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with a wide range of complex medical conditions, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The hospital focuses on addressing the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges faced by these patients and supports employee career growth and well-being through various programs.

Requirements

Valid State RN License is required.
BLS is required at hire.
Certified ACLS required within first 6 months of hire/promotion into Nursing Supervisor position.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse
One or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
CRRN preferred

Responsibilities

Direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant.
Provide and oversee nursing care.
Implement hospital and departmental philosophy and objectives.
Maintain approved standards of patient care.
Collaborate with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer.
Help patients achieve outlined goals and milestones on their individual patient care plan.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Promote continuous quality improvement.
Instruct and counsel patients/families.
