About The Position
Every day, Nursing Students/Medication Administration Aides (MAAs) have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, fostering genuine connections and creating vibrant communities where seniors can thrive. Candidates must already have (or be enrolled) in the additional Medication Administration Aide training required for working in a nursing home. CBRF/AL medication training does not qualify. This role involves preparing, administering, and recording medications, assisting with resident ADLs, and maintaining accurate documentation while adhering to company and HIPPA policies.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Certification required.
- Enrolled in Nursing School
- Completed Pharmacology and a med passing rotation
- Active CPR

- CBRF/AL medication training does not qualify.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, administer, and record medications as directed and per policy.
- Supervise medication resident self-administration or perform medication reminders.
- Access Medication Administration Record (MAR) to verify the right person, drug, dose, route, and time against the resident’s record.
- Appropriately document vital signs, interventions, or other pertinent data related to medication administration.
- Maintain resident confidentiality.
- Report any issues to the supervising nurse.
- Assist residents with ADLs (Bathing, Dressing, Oral Hygiene, Toileting, Baths., etc.).
- Maintain accurate documentation, charting and adherence to company and HIPPA policies.
- May work as a CNA as needed.
