About The Position

The Nursing Station Technician – Medical Surgical position assists with patient care, performs receptionist duties at the nursing station, and maintains patient care areas. Similar roles include Nurse Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Assistant (PCA), and Health Unit Coordinator.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If the candidate does not already hold an accepted certification, it will be included as part of the orientation program.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of experience working in a health care setting as a HUC, NA, or NST, or equivalent experience.
• Vocational/Technical Training or an Associate Degree.
• Successful completion of a health unit coordinator program.
