About The Position

Fairview is looking for a Nursing Station Technician on the Float Pool at Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN. This role is a .6 FTE (48 hours every 2 weeks) working 12-hour night shifts, with every third weekend rotation. Variable weekday schedule. Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, communication skills, computer proficiency.
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Ontrack participants much be able to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program.
  • Successful completion of Fairview’s OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
  • Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting. (Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician)
  • Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program
  • Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position
