This position is a 0.8 FTE (64 hours per 2 week pay period), 8 hour day/evening shift and rotating weekends. Day/Evening Schedule: 50% days and 50% evenings, alternating weeks, Monday - Friday. Start times: 0445, 0500, 0530, 0600, 0900, 1030, 1100, 1130, 1200, 1300, 1400. Day shifts start 1000 and earlier, evening shifts 1100 start times and later. Rotating Saturday shift 0630-1500, approximately once every 3 months. The University of Minnesota Medical Center is looking for Nursing Station Technicians to join our perianesthesia team. The University of Minnesota Medical Center is the flagship location for University of Minnesota Health providing breakthrough medicine and transforming the health of our community. Perianesthesia Department, three phases of care: pre & post has 22 beds providing care for same day surgery patients, inpatients and surgical admits. Post anesthesia care unit (PACU) has 21 beds and cares for 30-50 patients/day. The Nursing Station Technician is a combined position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fasted paced unit.
