The Nursing Quality Management Specialist is responsible for leading accreditation readiness activities, managing compliance with policies and procedures, and ensuring continuous readiness in collaboration with healthcare quality colleagues and management. This role involves reviewing and revising the Quality Management Plan, monitoring quality management activities, and educating staff on improvement methods. The specialist will also coordinate timely reporting of quality data, collaborate with various departments to identify improvement opportunities, and manage the submission of patient care data for satisfaction and accreditation purposes. Key responsibilities include analyzing findings, implementing interventions, ensuring accuracy and validation of work products, and communicating new standards and regulations. The role also involves preparing reports, leading compliance for regulatory requirements, and working closely with senior management on metrics and outcomes. Maintaining knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, AHCA, etc.) is crucial. The position provides support for general departmental functions such as clinical database coordination, team facilitation, policy maintenance, staff education, committee support, quality assurance, data collection, chart review, and peer review processes.
