This role is responsible for leading assigned accreditation readiness activities, ensuring continuous readiness in collaboration with healthcare quality colleagues and management. The specialist will manage the establishment, compliance, and policy/procedure evaluation of assigned accreditation functions, and review the effectiveness of the Quality Management Plan. They will participate in the development of an internal reporting structure for quality management, ensuring timely reporting of quality data. The position involves educating staff on improvement opportunities and data analysis, collaborating with various departments to identify clinical quality and patient safety improvements, and managing the timely submission of patient care data for satisfaction and TJC. The specialist will analyze findings, implement interventions, ensure accuracy and validation of work products, and communicate/train on new standards and regulations. This role also involves leading compliance for regulatory requirements, preparing surveys and reports, and working closely with senior management and the Quality Management leadership team. Maintaining knowledge of accreditation, regulatory, licensing standards (TJC, CMS, AHCA, Commission on Cancer, professional nursing standards) is crucial. The role provides support for general departmental functions such as clinical database coordination, team facilitation, policy maintenance, staff education, committee support, continuous accreditation preparedness, quality assurance, data collection/validation, chart review, medical staff peer review, and OPPE/FPPE.
