Requirements

Must possess a valid and current certification in the State of Florida as a Medication Technician.
Florida Clearinghouse Background check required.

Responsibilities

Setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration.
Supervising CNAs as directed.
Providing patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
Providing for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
Maintaining patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information.
