About The Position

The Jewish Home of CNY is looking for a Nursing Coordinator with exceptional organizational skills along with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational and project coordination skills.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
Experience in healthcare administration, long-term care, or hospital operations.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Knowledge of CMS and NYSDOH regulatory requirements.
Experience supporting executive or departmental leadership.

Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive administrative support to Nursing Administration.
Coordinates departmental communications and serves as an administrative resource for staff, vendors, physicians, consultants, and outside agencies.
Answers telephones, routes calls, responds to routine inquiries, and ensures timely communication.
Maintains department forms.
Assists with departmental projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
Maintains departmental filing systems, both electronic and paper.
Coordinates document retention and records management in accordance with facility policies.
Provides professional customer service to residents, families, visitors, physicians, consultants, vendors, and employees.
Maintains confidentiality of all resident, employee, and organizational information.
Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in all communications.
