The Nursing Manager provides clinical leadership and operational oversight for the Assisted Living and Memory Care departments, ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and outstanding staff performance. This position is ideal for an experienced nursing leader who is passionate about dementia care and committed to fostering a supportive, resident-centered environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; nursing degree preferred.
  • Current Washington State nursing license (RN or LPN) required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license.
  • Current CPR certification, Food Worker Card, and dementia-related certifications, or the ability to obtain them within the required time frame.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with seniors, including individuals with dementia, is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of Assisted Living and Memory Care resident services.
  • Conduct resident assessments, develop care plans, and facilitate family care conferences.
  • Ensure accurate nursing documentation, medication management, and compliance with all clinical standards.
  • Lead, train, schedule, mentor, and supervise Assisted Living and Memory Care staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Washington State regulations, federal requirements, and company policies.
  • Coordinate resident care with physicians, families, pharmacies, hospice providers, and other community partners.
  • Respond to emergencies and ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Conduct staff meetings for all shifts and oversee weekly nursing in-in-service training, as well as required monthly and quarterly departmental meetings.
  • Prepare and submit reports requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Administrator and Director of Nursing and assist with overall facility operations.
  • Promote a positive team culture through coaching, accountability, and continuous quality improvement.
