Deaconess Illinois Crossroads Hospital is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nursing Manager to lead our Oncology & Infusion Services team. Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or ability to obtain within three years of hire
  • Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of nursing management experience
  • Previous oncology, infusion, or specialty care leadership experience
  • Experience leading quality improvement and performance initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to promote engagement, accountability, and professional growth
  • Manage staffing plans, scheduling, and workforce development initiatives
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support ongoing education and competency development
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused culture
  • Oversee daily operations of Oncology and Infusion Services
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care
  • Promote clinical excellence and adherence to established oncology and infusion best practices
  • Support staff in delivering compassionate care that meets the unique needs of oncology patients and their families
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor key performance indicators
  • Analyze patient outcomes and implement strategies to improve quality and safety
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies
  • Promote a culture of patient safety and continuous improvement
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing resources, equipment, and supplies
  • Monitor productivity and resource utilization to support operational efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-effective care delivery
  • Partner with physicians, pharmacists, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
  • Support the development and implementation of treatment plans and care initiatives
  • Ensure patients and families receive education, resources, and support throughout their treatment journey
